Shawn Jackson - Support for Tonya Stokes
Donation protected
Dear friends and family,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Shawn on Friday, March 28th, 2025, at the age of 54 with his fiancée Tonya at his side. Shawn was beloved by many and was a cherished partner, brother, son, friend and colleague. His loss has left a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. As our friend Tonya and their family navigate this incredibly difficult time, we ask for your love, and support.
Shawn was incredibly generous and active, in the community of Exeter and Owen Sound. In his free time he would referee Broomball and also umpire Baseball in those surrounding areas, giving back to others who find passion in these sports.
Tonya and Shawn were together for 13 years and were the best of friends, sharing a deep love and connection with one another. They enjoyed camping, kayaking and going to Toronto Blue Jays games. They always had some sort of DIY project on the go, or stayed busy helping friends and family with theirs.
Tonya and Shawn always been the first to offer a helping hand to others, and now, as Tonya faces this unimaginable loss, she and her family could use our support more than ever. The emotional toll of losing Shawn is indescribable, and we want to help ease any financial burdens that may arise as they navigate the days and months ahead.
If you’re able to contribute, any donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards supporting Tonya and her family, and helping them find some peace during this time of grief.
For those interested in honouring Shawn, a celebration of life will be held at the Chesley Community Centre on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 1 – 4 p.m. In recognition of Shawn’s love for Toronto sports, we ask that you wear your Blue Jays or Maple Leafs attire.
