Shawn Houghtaling Burial Fund

Ron and Marie Houghtaling lost their son today. Shawn Houghtaling was born March 26, 1983. He loved animals, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Shawn was an avid NY Yankees fan and named one of his parents' horses after a Yankee star.

Shawn was injured in a horrific car crash in 1999 that left him paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. Shawn was a fighter and showed strength and faith throughout his life. Even with the challenges Shawn faced, he still graduated from Arkport Central School and then Alfred University.

Shawn loved life and was always optimistic and a giving person. He planned on donating his organs after his death.

Anyone that had the opportunity to meet Shawn knew what a truly special and wonderful person he was.
