Once upon a time, in the CH Coffee Shop, Will Harrel and I were talking about his amazing mustache. He told me he had been growing it out since quarantine started and intended on shaving it as soon as he got vaccinated. I asked him if he'd be interested in letting it grow for another month and try to raise money for the organization of his choosing. After that one month, we'd set up a call where he could shave it off in front of EVERYONE who donated. He agreed almost immediately! 

Now that Will has been vaccinated, it’s almost time to shave his mustache! But first, he will be growing it out for one more month (3/23-4/23), raising money for Stop AAPI Hate ( @stopaapihate ).  With the rise of AAPI hate crimes, Will wants to help support his AAPI brothers, sisters, and siblings out as much as he can. 

All gifts will be matched by both Will and his employer, up to a total of $1200 (summing to $3600 raised with the matching!) 

Stop AAPI Hate tracks and responds to incidents of hate, violence, harassment, discrimination, shunning, and child bullying against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.

Their key goals are:
• Serve as the leading aggregator of anti-Asian hate incidents
• Offer multilingual resources for impacted community members
• Provide technical assistance from rapid response to preventative measures
• Support community-based safety measures and restorative justice efforts
• Advocate for local, state, and national policies that reinforces human rights and civil rights protections
