Hello! Tara here. I’m undergoing adjuvant treatment for breast cancer. Chemotherapy is next on the list and so I am shaving my head in aid of Cian’s Kennels CLG.

Spending time with pets has had such a positive impact on my mental health during this time and I think every child going through treatment should have the option of spending time with their furry friends.

Cian's Kennels is a charity set up in memory of Cian Neary, our beloved 15-year-old son, who sadly lost his battle for life on 23 September, 2019. Cian had a puppy, Cooper, a gorgeous golden Labrador that we brought on visits to Cian in hospital. Those visits became the basis of lasting, precious memories. Cian's Kennels brings some of that joy and relief to children enduring extended hospital stays. We transport their family pet from their home to Dublin kennels and shuttle it daily for hospital visits.
