My name is Kev.
I’m fundraising to access independent legal advocacy and civil legal support; something I have been unable to obtain through existing systems, despite years of trying.
For a long time, I’ve been navigating complex disability, housing, and healthcare systems on my own. While I receive some support, I do not have an independent advocate; someone who can stand beside me, help me assert my rights, and engage with institutions on an equal footing.
Support without advocacy leaves a power imbalance. And when you are disabled, unwell, or system-dependent, that imbalance matters.
I’ve done everything I can through formal channels. I’ve asked. I’ve waited. I’ve followed process. But the pathways that are meant to provide advocacy are constrained by funding limits, conflicts of interest, and structural gaps. As a result, I’m left without a genuine way to pursue legal clarity or human rights protections.
This fundraiser exists to bridge that gap.
Funds raised will be used solely to cover the cost of:
- Initial legal consultation and advice
- File review and advocacy support
- Early-stage civil or human-rights legal guidance
This is not about punishment, blame, or escalation. It’s about access.
I’m not seeking profit or attention. I’m seeking the ability to sit at the table with qualified legal support; something most people take for granted.
If you choose to donate, thank you.
If you simply read this, that matters too.
Sometimes silence isn’t chosen; it’s imposed.
This is my attempt to finally be heard.
