Sharing Bruce's Birthday With Africa

My ex-wife and I have decided to do something very special for my son Bruce’s birthday...

He is turning four next month. This kid has everything he could ever desire. He gets so many toys we have to constantly give them away because we have too many.

That’s not just us getting him stuff, whenever we have birthday parties people get him all kinds of things. But this year we are going to do something different.

Instead of getting him gifts, we are going to get a birthday cake and gifts for a group of kids in Africa that have never even seen a birthday cake. They don’t know what toys are, this is a completely foreign concept for them.

We have built water wells that give water to 5000 people and put my son's name on it, and that is definitely a much bigger help than having a party for them, but it was just something small we thought we could offer them so they can experience being treated to a fun day of celebration.

You cannot write this off, though one day I will be creating an official nonprofit for things like this, for now it will just have to be out of the kindness of your own heart.

We will be sending money over there, as well as your donations to get toys for these kids and let them experience a birthday party, something they’ve never even heard of.

If we hit $5000 in donations we will build a water well that will bring water to 5000 people. Right now these kids drink out of puddles in the dirt.
