As a California resident and college professor, I’ve witnessed how quickly life can be upended—whether by natural disasters, economic hardship, or sudden loss of access to basic resources. When earthquakes strike or evacuation orders are issued, and daily life is disrupted, it’s often the most vulnerable who are left without food, fuel, or even the ability to communicate with loved ones.
This small effort is not meant to solve everything—but it can bring hope to a few. If you’re in a position to help, please join me in extending support to those who are navigating unimaginable disruption. Even the smallest gesture can offer warmth, comfort, and a sense of solidarity in the face of hardship.
