Share the Love — Plant a Coffee Tree

Instead of flowers this Valentine’s, plant something that actually lasts.

For $5, you can plant a coffee tree at Ruhunga Development School @ Uganda Lodge in Ruhunga, Uganda.

In 3 years, it begins producing income. In 5 years, it’s in full production. It can produce for up to 99 years, giving these farmers' children a real chance to rise out of poverty.

Our goal is 50,000 trees — which would generate about $150,000 a year for the school. We have managed to plant 23,000 to date. That means in a few years, the school supports itself.

Not constant fundraising. Not dependency. Sustainable income.

We currently subsidize 50% of every child’s tuition so families pay about the same as failing government schools — but receive a strong private education.

Monthly sponsorship:

• $15/month supports a day student

• $30/month supports a boarding student

Last year’s national exams placed us among the top schools in the area — with strong A and B results and only 3 C’s. No D’s. No fails. Families are noticing — lives are being changed.
