Hi! I’m Nick, an artist from Worcester, MA, and creator of Astronauts With Angel Wings—a small startup spreading love of the arts while giving back to the community. I’m asking if you’d be willing to help build something that can bring joy and healing to kids and families who need it most.

I’ve been curating and packaging basic art supplies into all-in-one, gift-ready kits - each including some of my own artwork as watercolor/coloring pages. For every art kit I sell, I give one to a local nonprofit that serves kids facing challenges. One bought=one donated; it's that simple. The kits come in multiple sizes and have everything someone needs to begin their own artistic journey.

I’ve mainly been working with Sherry’s House & the Why Me Foundation, an amazing place which serves as a home-away-from-home, providing support services for families while their children receive cancer treatment in area hospitals. I'm hoping to branch out to other non-profits as well, depending on how far this thing goes. I truly believe that for some of us, creative expression is the best medicine - or at the very least, a healthy escape during hard times.

I am currently a one-man operation out of my home, on my own time, when not working my day job - buying, testing and packaging the kits, creating the watercolor sheets inside, marketing, going to vendor events, etc. Just a few months in, I have been amazed at the response, and AWAW sales have allowed me to donate 42 kits to children in active cancer treatment. Each one is individually sealed to meet hospital guidelines, but more importantly, it’s theirs to keep. Their own personal art pack - not shared, not secondhand materials.

100% of the money I receive from donors would go directly to buying materials needed to make the kits - the actual art supplies, the packaging materials, printer ink, paper, etc. Every little bit helps.

Growing up, we didn’t always have a lot, but I always had what I needed to explore my creative side, and my teachers in the Worcester Public Schools encouraged me to explore freely. No matter what life’s thrown at me, art, music, and writing have always helped me get through. A child being denied that chance simply because they lack access to materials?
