Please Join the Women Attorneys of Perkins Coie in a Share the Bounty Fundraiser to Support the Washington, D.C. Community!
In the spirit of giving back, the Perkins Coie Women’s Forum invites all attorneys in the Washington, D.C. office and friends of the Women’s Forum to join us in a Share the Bounty Fundraiser as we support individuals who are working on the front lines in the D.C. community in response to the COVID-19 crisis, their families, and families in need in Washington, D.C.
Perkins Coie is working with Chef Jess , a local woman-owned meal delivery & catering service, to provide meals for:
· Healthcare workers at MedStar Washington Hospital Center
· Employees at Giant Food Stores in Wards 7 and 8 and their families
· Families in need identified by the YWCA National Capital Area
Each meal costs $10, and all funds will go directly to Chef Jess to be applied across these organizations to provide healthy meals for the designated recipients. Your contribution will have the added benefit of helping to keep employees on staff at Chef Jess during this challenging time for local businesses.
We hope that you will join us in this Share the Bounty Fundraiser!
Please provide any amount that is meaningful to you. Here are some fun ways to arrive at an amount:
· $5 for each mile you walked/ran/biked last week
· $5 for each time you assisted a child with “remote learning” last week
· $10 for each roll of toilet paper you currently have in your house (+$5 per
roll if it is 3-ply!)
· $15 for each bottle of hand sanitizer you currently have in your house (+$5
per bottle if it is more than 2 ounces!)
· $15 for each video conference in which you participated last week
Contributions are not tax-deductible.

· MedStar Washington Hospital Center is a 912-bed major teaching and research hospital. It is the largest private, not-for-profit hospital in the nation’s capital, among the 100 largest hospitals in the nation and a major referral center for treating the most complex cases.
o Support needed: Meals for healthcare workers.
· Giant Food Stores is an American supermarket chain that operates stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
o Support needed: Meals (in quantities of four) for employees and their
families. Giant will match each family meal with a $40 Giant gift card.
· YWCA National Capital Area provides opportunities for empowerment of women through education and training, cultivating healthy lifestyles, challenging social stereotypes, and valuing diversity and equality by providing women and their families with the necessary programs that foster independence, economic stability and overall well-being.
o Support needed: Meals (in quantities of four) for 100 families in low income households.
