Share Clean Air MSP: Let's make gatherings safer!

Share Clean Air wants to see our Minneapolis/Saint Paul community gather together safely. We believe that focusing on indoor air quality during an ongoing pandemic is one of the ways that we can protect the health and safety of everyone in this community.

While there is still a risk of catching covid when we are in public, there are many ways to mitigate that risk (including masks, staying home when sick, etc.). Air filtration and using 222 nm far-UV lights are important and under-utilized elements of this multifaceted risk-mitigation effort.

Share Clean Air MSP kicked off its initial efforts in February 2024 by partnering with the Minnesota Tool Library. Through their GiveMN page, we helped raise $3,000 to buy 4 high capacity HEPA filters for the Tool Library - 2 Smart Air Blast Mini - MKII air purifiers and 2 ALORAIR PureAiro HEPA Max 870 Air Scrubbers (https://www.givemn.org/story/Rkz7sf). The Minnesota Tool Library was a fantastic starting partner for our efforts as a long standing non-profit with locations in both Saint Paul and Minneapolis. They have an established inventory management system and check-out/check-in processes, which let us focus on fundraising for these air purifiers. 

Share Clean Air MSP is now shifting to building up our own lending library of air purifiers and 222 nm far UV lights. We hope to also be able to provide free masks and covid-testing at events in the future. Our initial goal includes:

- $194 for LLC filing and 1 year of registered agent services 

- $120 for 1 year of Canva Pro

- $331.34 for 6 Lorell 420 air purifiers 

- $134.49 for 12 Lorell 420 replacement filters 

- $599 for 1 Smart Air Blast Mini, https://smartairfilters.com/en/product/blast-mini-ffu/
