Hi! My name is Mislaini Umabong a Filipina born nurse who is now living and working for the NHS in the UK.

As all of us probably heard from the news that a destructive 6.9 earthquake claimed lives and property in my beautiful island of Cebu last September 30, 2025 at 2159 hrs. My island is still currently having terrible strong aftershocks even till today. My people have lost everything and most of them are forced to sleep beside roads with nothing to shelter them from the rain. No food to eat and water to drink. A basic need to survive. It breaks my heart to ask for help but my sister and I with the help of my family in Cebu are raising money to buy tents worth 550 pesos each for 4 people to provide at least temporary shelter for them at this very vulnerable storm season time in the Philippines.
