Shannon's Parents Need Your Support

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted individuals,

Update on my dad and mom…

Dad is currently in a nursing home with rehab.  The stroke has left him weak, and he struggles doing things with his left side.  He has made progress but still has a long way to go.  Medicare has stopped paying for the rehab so we are working on getting his Medicaid application done so that he can continue with his rehab.  My brother and I are also helping my parents with navigating repairs and upgrades for their home to make it more livable for both of our parents.

Between medical bills, transportation costs, and the daily needs of maintaining a home, the financial burden has become overwhelming. As we navigate this difficult time, we are humbly asking for help.  Any funds raised have gone to the following and will continue to help:

1) Medical bills for both my father’s hospital stays and nursing home rehabilitation

2) Meals for my mom and family

3) Gas to cover the numerous trips to and from the nursing home

4) Other necessities that will help keep their home running while they both focus on recovery
