Thank you in advance for taking a minute to let me share my story with you.
In May 2017 I lost my 32-year-old sister, Shannon, to cancer. It broke my heart and absolutely rocked me. The catalyst for my emotional healing was when I decided to create a charity in my sister’s honor to carry her name and legacy forward.
My charity is called Shannon’s giving. My sister and I shared the same intense love for Thanksgiving and some of our best memories are from cooking Thanksgiving dinner together, laughing in the kitchen and putting on the most epic feast.
We are also both big fans of Whole Foods and healthy eating, so I created a charity to help families who either lost someone recently due to cancer or have someone very sick and the thought of putting on a Thanksgiving dinner is just too much.
Thanksgiving to me is all about family so if we can donate a pre-prepared Whole Foods Thanksgiving meal, so that they do not have to miss out on this time to be surrounded by love, laughter and the people that mean the most, I want to make that happen for them.
This is my third year for Shannon’s giving. Each year we have doubled the number of families we have donated to and this year we want to do the same. Our goal this year is to donate meals to 70 families in the Phoenix area!
I have a pending 5013(c) which should be approved by the end of the year. That means any donations you make now will be tax deductible for you!
If you are moved by the story or it speaks to you in anyway it would mean the world to me if you would donate to this cause. Any donation amount is helpful and will allow us to help even more families.
We will be delivering the meals the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
Thank you again for your time and your help.
