Hi, my name is Kim and the guy in the picture with me is my husband Shane. As some of you know, Shane was diagnosed with bladder cancer, and the most aggressive kind. He was not a candidate for chemo and radiation, so the only option he had was to have his bladder taken out, which he did on June 9th in a 7-hour surgery.

It's been a very rough road, and the doctor did warn us the surgery and recovery were going to be very hard. Shane had been sick for a while before we realized what was going on; he was just being drained at a very fast pace. Now he is on the recovery end of it all, and it's going to be a long road as we know, and the medical bills are flying in.

This is so hard for us to even do, but we don't know anything else to do. We need help. We can't keep up with monthly bills and medical costs. Shane is supposed to be able to go back to work in a few months, but until then, we are lost. Shane has always been the breadwinner of the family, and I worked until a few years ago when my health took a turn.

Please, we ask if you can please help us through this rough patch. Life is hard on us all sometimes, and here we sit frantic in a panic, not knowing what to do. We have always helped others throughout the years, and now here we are in need ourselves. This can happen to anyone, and it's a hard thing to go through. We never thought in a million years we would have to do something like this because, as you know, pride gets us.
