He was not a candidate for chemo and radiation, so the only option he had was to have his bladder taken out, which he did on June 9th in a 7-hour surgery.

<div>It's been a very rough road, and the doctor did warn us the surgery and recovery were going to be very hard. Shane had been sick for a while before we realized what was going on; he was just being drained at a very fast pace. Now he is on the recovery end of it all, and it's going to be a long road as we know, and the medical bills are flying in.

<div>This is so hard for us to even do, but we don't know anything else to do. <strong>We need help</strong>. We can't keep up with monthly bills and medical costs. Shane is supposed to be able to go back to work in a few months, but until then, we are lost. Shane has always been the breadwinner of the family, and I worked until a few years ago when my health took a turn.

<div>Please, we ask if you can please help us through this rough patch. Life is hard on us all sometimes, and here we sit frantic in a panic, not knowing what to do. We have always helped others throughout the years, and now here we are in need ourselves. This can happen to anyone, and it's a hard thing to go through. We never thought in a million years we would have to do something like this because, as you know, pride gets us.
