Hi, my name is Cameron Abraham, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beautiful wife, Shakima, who is courageously battling a rare and aggressive condition called Leptomeningeal Disease (LMD) — a complication of cancer that affects the protective lining of the brain and spinal cord.

Our Story

In March 2025, after being in remission and chemo-free since 2018, Shakima received the heartbreaking diagnosis of LMD. What began as subtle symptoms — headaches, neck pain, and blurred vision — quickly evolved into a life-altering medical journey that has deeply impacted our family.

Despite this, Shakima continues to show incredible strength and unwavering faith. She began treatment with Enhertu, a targeted therapy offering new hope. Her scans have shown encouraging signs of healing, and her doctors remain optimistic. Through it all, she continues to fight with grace, courage, and the fierce will to live.

Why We’re Asking for Help

Because of this diagnosis:

• Shakima is currently unable to work.

• I was recently let go from my job while acting as her full-time caregiver — managing medications, daily care, appointments, and emotional support.

• Our insurance only covers part of the necessary treatment, and we are now facing growing medical bills, transportation needs, and basic living expenses like groceries, utilities, and rent.
