Shadow Play — Burning Man 2026

Shadow Play is a living installation shaped by light, wind, and shadow. As burners move through it, their silhouettes merge with shifting patterns, inspiring reflection, curiosity, and a connection to the idea of Axis Mundi.

We’re raising funds to build and transport this large‑scale sculpture to Burning Man 2026. Inspired by ancient puppetry traditions (206 BC), Shadow Play uses pure geometry and natural forces to create an ever‑changing visual experience, especially during Golden Hour when the piece becomes a shared space of wonder and community.

The work features five aluminum arcs, each 100 feet long and 15 feet tall, arranged in an expanding circle with 3‑foot canvas membranes that cast dramatic, fluid shadows. The open design allows wind to pass freely through a 40×150‑foot footprint.

Funds support materials and transport, including aluminum, stainless‑steel cables, extensive lighting and durable duck‑cloth fabric.
