We are back and stronger than ever!
Hello dear friends and family,
So much has changed and shifted over the past years in Taos, but one thing that has remained as a consistent source of joy for me has been hosting Shabbat meals and Yom Tov celebrations.
Just a few short weeks ago, Ariel, Cierra and I ( my New Mexico Jewish family) were all without stable housing and were unsure if we would be able to stay in Taos, let alone continue providing for the Jewish Community of New Mexico. The Shabbat Spot was in crisis. With the Chagim fast approaching, friends began asking if we would host Rosh Hashana again and where the Succah would be built. We had no answer to give.
Baruch Hashem, a miracle happened, and the perfect house became available. We were able to move in together once more and finally settle into our beautiful Jewish home. We are ready to open our doors to the Taos Jewish community just in time for the Chagim.
My friends and I are looking forward to a full year of Jewish celebration. Finally, we have the perfect space from which to host and plan on continuing to grow our presence and reach more and more young Jews in the southwest.
The last time I reached out to humbly ask for support, I was new to Taos and unsure of how much impact I could have on this community. Now I know precisely how meaningful it has been that we are here and offering a vibrant Jewish community. With much gratitude for all the support I have received in the past I ask you to please contribute once more to our incredible community here in Taos.
As always, every one of you is welcome to visit our idyllic home and come experience a Shabbat at the Shabbat Spot of New Mexico!
Have a Chag Sameach and a G'mar Chatima Tova.
With love and gratitude,
