My name is Maya Ferguson, and I’m honored to represent my 6th period AP Physics class in the Stevenson GiveAThon: a heartfelt program that pairs students with families in need to provide holiday gifts and essentials.

This season, we’re raising funds to bring joy and support to a Lake County family of four children, ranging in age from three months to nine years old. The two younger kids are hoping for fun toys to brighten their holidays, while the two older ones are dreaming of receiving bikes.

Every dollar will go directly toward purchasing toys, clothing, and essentials that will make this family’s holiday truly magical. Even if you’re not able to contribute financially right now, spreading the word or sharing this GoFundMe can make a huge difference. Your support-big or small, means the world to us and to the family we’re helping.

A quick look back at last year’s GiveAThon: this is my second year participating through my high school, and thanks to the kindness of so many, we were able to raise $600 and buy multiple bikes and many essentials for a family in need. It was such a rewarding experience, and I’m beyond grateful to have the opportunity to do it again this year.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us make this season one to remember, for this family, and for all of us who believe in the power of giving.
