Help us be together again

Hi, my name is Gabby López. I’m currently fighting for my son and I’s right to be together permanently again. I’m going through a divorce, and he’s left me on the street, taken my son, my car, so with it, my ability to work. I’ve been in this marriage for 15 years, and I was a stay at home mom, while he worked. Our marriage has been on the rocks for the last 5 years. Our home environment was unbearable. Our fights escalated, and my little boy was unfortunately present. I asked my husband for a divorce many times, I tried to offer different solutions but he always just said no, that he didn’t want me to leave so therefore there’s no reason to help me. He stated that everything was fine, and him and Ellett were happy. It was just me who needed to be happy as well. He stated I could leave but couldn’t take Ellett with me. I could never leave my son behind and he knew it, and that’s how he kept me there. I started working in secret 3 years ago, to save up a $5,000 retainer for an attorney. In March of this year, there was an altercation at home that became physical, and that’s when I knew it was time to go. I hired an attorney in April of this year. In May of this year, my mom came to visit, and took me to the ER., My family expressed concern for me when they saw my low weight, and pale reflection. I was having heart palpitations, shortness of breath, swelling from my knees down, and extreme fatigue. It was hard to eat or be positive, when I felt Ellett and I were in a prison we would never be able to leave. The ER performed blood tests, CT scans, EKG, and an X-ray of my heart. The results showed severe anemia, and my heart failing. I didn’t know what else to do, and it felt like I had no way out. In July of this year, I came to Florida with my son, to get away from the hostile home environment we were still in, and my health started improving immediately. I was eating better, sleeping the right amount, Ellett and I weren’t around fighting, screaming, slamming doors, and there was laughter and peace surrounding us. In September of this year, we went to our temporary hearing and they awarded us joint custody, with him as primary. He used slander and lies to take him from me. My attorney had reassured me that everything would work in our favor, as he wouldn’t be able to use these things against me for which he didn’t use to file for divorce before. Unfortunately, it did not turn out this way. My attorney left out pictures, affidavits, medical records, and other crucial pieces of information that I believe would have been beneficial to prove that my allegations of a psychologically abusive husband. I’m not sure why he did this, and I’m now in the process of looking for a second opinion. Your donation will help me pay for a new attorney as I believe I’m being mal represented., as well as any other legal fees related to this. He’s also taken my car away, so I’ve lost several interviews that I had lined up this week. He wasn’t supposed to sell or get rid of anything until we go back to court, and I was supposed to get one of the 2 vehicles. My attorney is not sure what’s going on, and that’s been the answer for a lot of my questions. Please help me fight for my son. He sends me nightly messages saying he’s sad, and wants to be with me. He’s innocent in all of this, and all he wants is to be with his mama which is a natural thing for a child to want. My ex husband has always worked long hours and came home tired, never having the patience, dedication, and time for my son. It scares me that he’s able to ignore his own sons cry for his mama.
