Support the Rodriguez Family After Fire

On February 18 there was a fire in an abandoned home next door to the home of the Rodriguez family in Dyker Heights. The fire came into their home through the roof and they were forced to evacuate and leave everything behind. The fire spread in their house and their apartment was horribly damaged. There is an Order to Vacate on the apartment and they cannot return until repairs are made. Since February 18, the Rodriguez family, with their 4 children, have been moving from one temporary housing solution to another. Their landlord is refusing to offer support in finding additional housing and their temporary housing provided by HPD and Red Cross has run out. They have until this Sunday March 2 in their current accommodations and then they have nowhere to go.They are seeking to raise money to cover expenses and find a more permanent housing solution while their home remains unlivable. El 18 de febrero hubo un incendio en una casa abandonada al lado de la casa de la familia Rodríguez en Dyker Heights. El fuego entró a su casa por el techo y se vieron obligados a evacuar y dejar todo atrás. El fuego se extendió por su casa y su apartamento quedó terriblemente dañado. Hay una orden de desalojo del apartamento y no pueden regresar hasta que se realicen las reparaciones.
