Help Cambodian Village Tnal Taset Get Clean Water
Donation protected
Only 1 of every 3 Cambodians in rural communities have easy access to clean water. You can help increase this number by funding wells for Tnal Taset, a rural village in the Siem Reap Province of Cambodia. People of the Tnal Taset Village are in need of clean water because the closest public well is over 4 miles away according to Cambodia’s Water and Sanitation Program. Buying water is an option but many cannot afford this. Often, to get clean and safe drinking water people either have to collect rainwater during the wet season or take the 4 mile walk to the nearest well during the dry season.
We have communicated with locals who have graciously donated land for 2 public wells. The average price of a well costs approximately $1,500. We would like to install one well on each end of the village. There are no continuous costs and the wells can be used indefinitely because the people who use the wells will be taught how to maintain them.
In addition to this GoFundMe, we are also raising funds through a local volleyball tournament. All of the proceedes from the tournament will be going towards this cause. We will keep you updated on our progress.
Help us bring clean water to Tnal Taset! Donate today to build wells in the village and make a lasting impact with your generosity.
