There are individuals and families in need in the town of Reading and there are individuals and families who are looking to help those in need.  

As a member of St. Agnes church, I am aware of a group that has been helping those in need (regardless of their faith!) in Reading for the past 10 years and is being tapped more now as needs across our town have increased.  

The St. Vincent dePaul Society has paid rent, mortgages, car and utilitie bills for individuals and families in Reading.   They provide gift cards to market basket and other needs as they arise.  

Over the years I have personally donated many times to this worthy and essential group.  Hearing about increased need and hearing of people being sent to SVdP for help I want to ensure that we as a community can continue to help meet the needs of our neighbors.
