Sewing With Love for NHS & keyworkers North East

Please can you help us keep as many NHS and Frontline carers as safe as possible? I'm Aimee from Corsetry and Couture and usually I'm busy making and adjusting Wedding Gowns at this time of year. However, as the wedding industry has come to a standstill over the Coronavirus pandemic I find myself with time on my hands and machinery idle and a wish to help where possible.  I've turned my hand to making scrubs, clothing bags and headbands for the NHS and frontline carers. As  a coordinator for the South Shields area of the group North East England Sewing for the Frontline, I can now help more of those in need. As well as making items myself, I can cut out the patterns and fabric and distribute to others to sew up. Many small businesses are coming together to help, including fellow Mint Business Club Members, Rebecca Williams Dinsdale and Carrie Pearson.  The effort is being managed through the group however we desperately need more funds to continue purchasing fabrics and threads. Each set of scrubs takes 3-3.5m of polycotton fabric to make. Please donate what you can, I know money is tight for a lot of us right now. The cost of a coffee, a takeaway, they all add up no matter how small and we really want to keep as many of our brave NHS and frontline carers as safe and comfortable as possible during this time.
