It’s my 70th birthday this year and I’m doing a challenge... and a fundraiser! I’m raising funds for the Crooked River Chapter of the Buckeye Trail Association but I'm also challenging myself to do seventy hill climbs over seven days.... one for each year of my life!
Each day from August 14th to August 20th, I'll climb the hill by Squire's Castle in North Chagrin Reservation of Cleveland Metroparks ten times! I'll be reporting in my results and welcoming others to join me!
You'll make those hill climbs much easier with your donations to the Buckeye Trail Association! As many of you know, I completed section hiking the entire Buckeye Trail in March 2023 and I came to appreciate the dedication and work it took (and continues to take) to develop and maintain this amazing Ohio trail.
Your support helps Buckeye Trail Association make a difference by contributing towards efforts like:
- Building and maintaining a 1440+mile trail that circumnavigates the entire state of Ohio!
- Providing outreach and publicity to inform and encourage all Buckeye Trail users -- the casual dog walker, the trail runner, and the inspired section or thru hiker
- Acquiring the technology, staff, and tools necessary for a non-profit to function effectively
