Alhamdulillah, after many years of study (2013–2025), I have successfully completed my Islamic studies (Shariah) in Saudi Arabia, studying in both Riyadh and Madinah.

My academic achievements include:

A degree in the Arabic language

A Bachelor's degree in Shariah and Arabic language

A Master’s degree in Shariah and Law

Certification in Arabic language teaching

Judicial Qualification

Completion of various specialized courses in leadership, charity management, family counseling, and more

Upon returning to Portsmouth, I was saddened to see that the city remained the same—or perhaps even worse—in terms of religious and community development. While some mosques and community centers have opened, unfortunately, none of them fully address the true needs of our community.

Because of this, I envisioned a comprehensive 360° plan for our community’s future, focusing on both Islamic and social development.

Our Vision for Community Growth

Our project will include:

Masjid

Education center: Islamic studies, Hifz (Quran memorization), and Arabic language classes

Islamic Shariah courses

Teacher training programs

Summer activities for youth

A dedicated sports facility – Morning sessions for sisters and evening sessions for brothers

A community support fund – Assisting with marriage expenses for youth and covering funeral costs for those in need

Many other initiatives that will be announced in due course

How You Can Help

To bring this vision to life, we need a large and suitable property to host all our activities. We have found an ideal location, but the cost is £900,000, plus an additional £200,000 for necessary renovations.

As a group of volunteers since 2012, we have actively been giving dawah and have established a local Dawah Team in Portsmouth Hampshire. By the mercy of Allah, we started another dawah table in the city of Basingstoke in early 2020.

We have handed out hundreds of flyers and Qur'ans, free of charge, to people with no connection to Islam. We constantly engage with the local University and hold activities in partnership with the University Societies.

For the past three years, we have started giving regular classes on a weekly basis during Ramadan. Even during the current pandemic, we have continued with these classes online.

This is an appeal for us to grow and to establish ourselves officially by becoming a Registered Charity. In order to do this, we need to raise funds for our Dawah table, so that we can expand our activities to other cities as well as allowing us to play a greater role when it comes to community work, and Islamic education.
