Sete Outeiros is a nature space for trans and queer people. We offer a place for retreats, volunteering, and refuge and acompaniment. Our forest is a beautiful, tranquil spot, far from normative society.

From within the logic of the bodies that inhabit this place, it’s built on a foundation of transfeminism and anti-colonialism .

After five years open we’re in a transformative moment for the project, finishing off the construction of a home for the people who live here all year round as well as renovating other spaces.

Here are a couple of the biggest expenses we’re facing right now.

- A new electrical system that will expand significantly our capacity.  We’re a completely off grid space and rely on solar energy for all electrical needs. The current system is old and worn out, and it never had the capacity to sustain a project like Sete Outeiros. Also, we now possess a fridge, a washing machine, and a solar heated water system that all have higher electrical demands than the old system could handle.

Visitors will now be able to charge their devices without stress! We will be able to have a fridge in the summer, and we can even do a little bit of clothes washing with a machine! This large investment will give Sete Outeiros a good quality electrical system for at least twenty years.

-Kitchen installations. We will be able to have a private kitchen for the people that live here all year round and a kitchen dedicated to the queer visitors (whether on holiday, volunteering, or seeking refuge and acompaniment.)

The total that we needed was  8,362.  Thanks to our patreon, (www.patreon.com/seteouteiros), a big donation, and the personal contributions of the people that live all year round at Sete Outeiros, we have raised 2,078, so what is still oustanding is 6,274. We are raising a extra as this will help to keep Sete Outeiros, which struggles with resources, not only running, but running smoothly and to be able to help more queer and trans people and stay sustainable in the long-term. Sete Outeiros é um espaço na plena natureza, para pessoas trans e quir. Oferecemos retiros, oportunidades para voluntariado, refugio e acompanhamento. A nossa floresta é um espaço tranquilo, super bonito, e isolado da sociedade normativa.

Desde a corporalidade das pessoas que habitamos o espaço, tecemos realidades e experiências aqui desde umha base transfeminista e anti-colonial

Depois de cinco anos abertos, estamos num momento de transformaçom do espaço e do projeto, finalizando a construçom de umha vivenda, e renovando os outros espaços.

Eis alguns dos gastos mais grandes que enfrentamos agora mesmo.

Um novo sistema eléctirca que ampliará a nossa capacidade. O antigo sistema é velho e quase nom funciona. Leve trece anos de vida, e nunca tinha a capacidade para soster um projeto como Sete Outeiros. Ademais, Sete Outeiros agora tem acesso a um frigorífico e umha lavadaora que o antigo sistema nom soportaria. Com este investimento, Assim, as pessoas visitantes podem cargar os seus dispositivos sem estress, podemos dispor de um frigorífico no verao, e um pouco de capacidade para lavar roupa na maquina também. Este investimento grande dará a Sete Outeiros um sistema que durará vinte anos minimo.

Instalações de cozinha. Com a finalizaçom de umha vivenda polas pessoa que vivem aqui todo o ano, dá-nos a oportunidade de ter umha cozinha privada e outra cozinha polas pessoas visitantes (seja em modo ou de retiro, ou de voluntariado ou de refugio).
