SAMAA is a Public Benevolent Institution providing various voluntary and essential Services to the Seniors amongst the South Asian Community of metropolitan Sydney / Regional NSW since 2007.
SAMAA's Services include developing innovative & effective Service Modules, in order to facilitate the provision of Culturally specific needs of our Seniors. To assist this Mission of ours, SAMAA has many dedicated Volunteers. These Volunteers provide yeoman services - they provide Transport of our Seniors to their GPs & Specialists / take them to do Grocery shopping / Social events /prayer visits. These Volunteers also assist our Seniors in Home Cleaning / Home Cooking / Delivery of Home-cooked Meals / Laundry & general Home Chores.
SAMAA arranges regular Picnics/Social Entertainments for our Seniors, to alleviate social isolation of seniors.
SAMAA has signed MOUs with Aged Care service providers to facilitate culturally appropriate care at home and in residential aged care facilities.
SAMAA also aims to build its own Respite Centre to provide relief to seniors and their carers.
