Donation protected
On November 30th 2021, Alyssa was admitted into the Garden City Kansas hospital to check fetal movement. Within a short time of being at the hospital they quickly realized Alyssa would need a emergency c-section at only 26weeks. Garden City Kansas was not prepared to deliver a baby so little so they had to flight for life her to Colorado Springs Colorado. It wasn’t a normal flight for life they had to transfer her by ambulance to the airport in Garden City to put her on a medical plane to fly to the Colorado Springs Airport to then be placed onto the flight for life helicopter this took them 6 hours. While Lorenzo had to drive 6 hours he was exhausted just making it to the hospital the same time as Alyssa. Alyssa was strapped all alone to a plastic gurney in a black body bag they had zipped up to her stomach . Alyssa finally arrived at the Colorado Springs hospital December 1st at 3:00a.m. , At 4:44a.m. The baby was delivered by emergency c-section. Alyssa was still all alone threw all of this they refused to let Lorenzo the babies dad and Alyssa’s spouse to be there for Alyssa and or the baby.
We had great hopes with a 80% survival rate at only 26 weeks, but our hopes started to quickly dwindle with bad news. That’s when they gave Lorenzo a option to be there for his baby or to be there for the mother of his baby the two people he loves more then anything in the world he was torn apart . Once Alyssa woke up from surgery she started experiencing major panic and anxiety attacks from not having her baby. That’s when they had to let Lorenzo be there for Alyssa she had been all alone for over 24hours while having to go threw this traumatic experience. The hospital finally agreed to let Lorenzo be there for Alyssa and our mother to be there for the baby. Once our mom was finally able to be there for the baby and face time Alyssa and Lorenzo, they could see how exhausted the baby was from fighting so hard. Baby Lillian was on a breathing tube, she was poked all over had multiple IV’s, and cords all over her. Shortly after our mom was able to see Lillian the doctors came in at 11:30p.m. To inform Alyssa and Lorenzo that Lillian went to cardiac arrest, they had to give her CPR and found a brain bleed. Again our hopes drastically dropped.
at 12:30p.m the doctors unhooked Lillian from everything and brought her to the room to spend her final moments with her mom and dad. At 1:06 a.m. December 2nd 2021, Lillian took her last breath in her mom and dads arms, and went to be with her Great grandma Lillian in Heaven.
Alyssa and Lorenzo need so much support and love right now threw this hard time. They have huge medical expenses and now are having to figure out how to pay for funeral arrangements for their baby Lillian Rose Ramos while trying to figure out how they are going to move forward after this.
Alyssa has a long road of recovery ahead of her and has to see a few specialist over then next 18 months as they believe she has a blood clotting disorder.
We appreciate and want to say thank you to everyone for everything they have done so far. condolences, brining us food, and in supporting Alyssa and Lorenzo in this difficult time of need. Thank you to everyone!
