MEDLIFE Service Learning Trip to Cusco, Peru
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Isabella and I am currently a fourth year Neuroscience and Spanish major on the pre-med track at the University of Pittsburgh.
This spring, the University of Pittsburgh chapter of MEDLIFE is going on a service learning trip to Cusco, Peru. The MEDLIFE organization promotes its mission by working closely with underserved communities in Latin America and Africa to not only provide accessible quality health care, but also to facilitate community enrichment. There, we will visit low-income areas across the region and set up mobile medical clinics that provide education, medical treatments, and follow-up care to individuals who have very limited access to these necessary resources. The work done on this trip is very important to me personally. As you may know, my goal to become a doctor has largely been driven by my passion to serve others and provide support to those in need. Additionally, I come from a Hispanic background and have witnessed first-hand the struggles that my family members in Ecuador have had to face daily due to their financial situation.
Joining Medlife last spring on their trip to Lima was a truly heart-warming and eye-opening experience that I would love to take part in once more. I greatly appreciate your support and any donation that you are able to provide! Thank you :)
