When I first heard of seizure dogs for children, I instantly became interested in finding out more . Upon research I found so many reasons this could help our family. When Sedona began having seizures it was beyond overwhelming for everyone, including me, her caretaker. To think of one more battle she has to face and will have to continue facing throughout her life was hard to accept. To have a seizure alert dog that would be there watching and comforting Sedona and I in the way of feeling secure and gaining that support would be so beneficial to the both of us. There is a comfort in knowing the dog would be watching over her and that would also be a great companionship for her to have. Having a child with special needs sometimes puts you in another world and to think that world would have a special friend would give a lot of peace of mind. We are aware the cost is beyond our needs and hope someday we find a way to make this happen for her. We have so so many extra expenses to care for her medical needs and at times we have to just keep hoping and researching that more of these types of things come available to those who need. Our goal is to find funding or support in getting her this special friend. - Jenny (Sedona’s Mommy)
Hi everyone, Linda here the director of this documentary! Thank you for taking the time to listen and watch the story of little Sedona. If you want to help please donate or share her story to help us reach our goal to get this little girl a service dog! We’re going to be working with https://www.littleangelsservicedogs.org/ . The estimated cost we’re going to have to pay is about 9,500 if we can get close to that or even over that it would be an amazing help for this family. Thank you so much for your time! Please share :)
