Hello and welcome. I’m Micheal Perter, Manager of Servant of Hope Orphanage.

The founder of Servant of Hope Orphanage, Eruu Peter, sadly passed away recently from a car accident. He dedicated his life to raising and caring for vulnerable children in Uganda — and he also raised me.

I’m now 24 years old, and I’ve stepped up to continue his legacy. I grew up in this orphanage and always looked up to Eruu, hoping one day I could follow in his footsteps. Our orphanage is nestled within Bugobo village in the Bugiri District of Uganda. It is surrounded by flourishing greenery, creating a serene and nurturing home for about 32 children in my care. As a young, diligent and hardworking Manager with a big heart, I’m doing my best to care for the children and with your support I can keep the orphanage running.

Because GoFundMe is not available in Uganda, my administrative assistant in Australia is helping me manage this campaign. Every donation will be transferred directly to me securely through Remitly and used only for the needs of the children. Your donation will support us in obtaining nutritious food, quality education, essential medication, clothing, safe and comfortable living spaces, and ensure the development of our gardens and facilities to nurture the children’s growth.
