Sergio was an amazing person, loved by everyone who knew him, but he was taken too soon from this world at the young age of 21. His mom Ivette lost her only son and was completely devastated. Sergio always wanted to be a doctor. One of his cherished dreams was to travel to India alongside Ivette, who is a nurse, in order to assist underprivileged children who were in need of medical attention and proper nutrition. When Sergio died, Ivette, trying to find meaning to this senseless tragedy, decided to embark in a very special mission. She decided to make the trip to India like Sergio wanted. In India, Ivette dedicated herself as a volunteer in a local school, witnessing firsthand the abject poverty and dire living conditions in which these children were trapped. She also observed the acute lack of access to nutritious food, which further exacerbated their struggles.
Motivated by a deep sense of compassion and a commitment to honor her son's memory, Ivette decided to help the school in implementing a lunch program that would enable the school to prepare their own meals. By establishing this initiative, the children would be provided with proper breakfast and lunch, fostering an environment where they could concentrate on their studies and learn effectively. Additionally, she is committed to improving the school infrastructure by constructing proper restroom facilities to ensure that the children no longer have to resort to relieving themselves in the bushes. She also aims to enhance the learning environment by installing efficient ventilation and lighting systems in the classrooms. Furthermore, she plans to implement a comprehensive water filtration system to provide the children with access to safe and clean drinking water.
In Sergio's name, Ivette embarked on a journey that transcended personal grief and became a beacon of hope for those who were suffering. Through her efforts, and the collective support of others, she aspires to create a legacy that honors Sergio's dreams and provides a path to a brighter future for countless children in need. Let’s help her achieve that.
