The members of the River Edge Police Department, River Edge PBA Local 201, and members of the River Edge and Jefferson Township communities and most importantly his family, are reeling from a terrible tragedy, the loss of Sergeant Christopher Cheevers.
Chris was kind, caring and dependable. He would always greet you with a smile and back you with his support.
Chris was known for being a pillar of strength, to help people through their hard times, laugh with you in your good times, and had a remarkable work ethic, serving the communities and organizations he was involved in.
This tragedy has touched each of us in different ways.
We are all praying for Chris’s family during this difficult time, and are asking for your finanical assistance to help them with funeral expenses, medical coverage, and for his children education funds. No donation is too small.
