Earlier this year, we saw a need for a dedicated space on campus where students of Serbian heritage and anyone interested in Balkan culture could come together. We founded SIU to bridge that gap, creating a community centered on heritage, language, and shared traditions right here in Bloomington.

As a new organization, we’ve been overwhelmed by the incredible energy and interest from the student body. From practicing the language to sharing traditional music and history, our goal is to keep our vibrant culture alive and thriving within the IU community.

We are incredibly grateful for any contribution, no matter the size. Every dollar helps us build a stronger presence at Indiana University and ensures that our heritage is celebrated and preserved for future classes of Hoosiers.
