Senior project- Fundraising for LLS
Tax deductible
To firstly introduce myself, my name is Madilyn Belsterling, a senior at Seneca Valley High School. As my senior project, I wanted to focus on something meaningful to me and to help others in my community. In February of 2018, my grandfather Ronald Klaes was diagnosed with leukemia. For those that aren't aware of what this is, it is a cancerous blood disorder that produces abnormal amounts of white blood cells in the body, interfering with the activity of red blood cells, making it more challenging for the body to fight off infections as well as diseases. An estimated 376,508 U.S. citizens today have been diagnosed with leukemia, now being the 10th most common type of cancer without a cure.
For the project portion of this, I am hosting a golf simulator event, on March 29th at Valley Brook Country club, specifically in the Schrage building. If you are unable to participate in the event, any donation is appreciated to reach the goal I am looking for. All proceeds are to be donated to the LLS foundation in hopes to support other families like mine, as well as research purposes. Thank you all who have donated to help find a cure for leukemia!
