Mickey, our senior dog, picked something up from the floor before his foster could get it out of his mouth. It was late in the evening and already very dark, so his foster couldn’t see what it was. Within moments, Mickey collapsed. It quickly became clear that he had ingested something toxic. There was no time to wait. Mickey was rushed to the emergency veterinary hospital, where he was immediately hospitalized and treated for suspected poisoning.

Mickey’s foster stayed with him through the entire night as the veterinary team worked to stabilize him. Emergency treatment and hospitalization are incredibly costly, and we urgently need help covering Mickey’s care. He is a senior dog who depends entirely on us to fight for him in moments like this.
