My name is Lena and I'm pleading with kindness and humanity. My family, Iy Noy, Soupany Myfanglong, whom I've always considered my brother, was deported to Laos. We're heartbroken, loss, trying to process and navigate this unexpected new way of life. I've created this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister, Nit, and the family.

In February 2025, Iy Noy was unexpectedly stopped, questioned and later detained in Miami after his last vacation with his wife and some friends. A luxury they no longer have together, stuck with knowing that that was the last time they would see each other in an uncertain future.

Iy Noy was detained and held until the end of May, when our government, without due process, without notice to his loved ones, shipped him after leaving him caged in an overpopulated, crowded, and grotesque prison cell. His mother only found out after he had been placed in a holding area in Laos. He does not speak the language well. He does not know the land. He does not know their way of life. Where is he supposed to go? How is he supposed to make a living? How is he supposed to support his family from across the world away? How does he get to kiss his wife and babygirl goodnight?

If you know this beautiful family, you know that their love for one another is like no other. True love is hard to find, yet that rare, crazy in love, that truly madly deepIy love that people search a lifetime to find can be seen in Uy Nit and Iy Noy's love for each other. That's what makes this even harder. Iy Noy and Uy Nit have doted on my siblings and I since we were little kids. They have shown up to every important event in my life. I'm sure they have been there to celebrate and give to the most important events in many of your lives as well. This is an unknown journey with an unknown ending. The government of Laos does not have a clear plan for those who have reintegrated. We do have a plan to reunite Iy Noy with his loved ones. His daughter is now faced with whether she'll receive the support she needs completing her college degree. Life is already so hard without having to wonder when you'll get to see your Daddy again or know that he is ok. Uy Nit has unexpectedly become a single mother with a single income household, trying to raise a family and keep up with all the expenses. Now she's learning how to navigate the next steps in building a new life.

Iy Noy used to make me noodles, he was at my wedding, housewarming, babyshowers, and celebration of all our recent achievements, personal and professional. My heart is shattered for my sis and brother.
