My name is Chloe and I am fundraising for a conference I would like to (need to) attend, called NavRAD. This conference focuses on educating and coaching families (and support people for those families) who have kids diagnosed with developmental trauma, formerly known as RAD (Reactive Attachment Disorder). As many of you know, my daughter B is am-az-ing. But, given her past trauma, she struggles. A lot.

The foster system is ill equipped to train or equip parents of kids who have these disabilities, so parents are often blindsided by the difficulty and then disappointed by the lack of resources out there that might help. So, I have a learning gap that I would like to bridge.

The NavRAD Conference is the first resource I have located, after much research, that is in-person coaching for parents. I am eager to attend and bring along one of our greatest supports and allies...we just need the funding to make it possible.
