Dear Friends,
I've been invited to Israel/Palestine to join nonviolent activists, diaspora Jews, Israelis and Palestinians in building relationships and working peacefully to end the occupation. I will be meeting people from the Center for Jewish Nonviolence and other grassroots groups who are committed to creating face-to-face encounters among people who refuse to be enemies. Our goal is to grow the grassroots movement of Palestinians, Israelis and allies who are invested passionately in one another's well-being and will stand together.
At this time of threatened annexation with its attendant catastrophes, this work is more urgent than ever. Within the next two weeks, I need to raise $500 to complete my acceptance of this honor and within the next 6 weeks, I will need to raise $3000 to cover travel expenses.
I am reaching out to you, because each of you exemplifies the values of peace and justice that animate this work. There are no words for the gratitude I will feel for your contribution of any size.
