Over 2,000 individuals ran to become a National Delegate for Bernie Sanders from Washington state and I was fortunate enough to be one of the 78 elected to go the the 2016 Democratic National Convention!
Costs are hefty - around $3,000 - and now that I'm retired this is a pretty big expense. Airfare is $600+ and,
at ~ $400 per night, hotel accommodations alone will be $2,000 (nope, not a penthouse suite - just a basic room - thanks, capitalism!) I'm using savings, my wife Claudia will kick in, and we're sharing our room with a friend attending as a legal observer with the National Lawyers Guild.
This is a tremendous honor and I promise to do my best for Bernie, our incredible team, the thousands of voters I will represent at this historic event, and you.
