Send Mia to Zanzibar to support young people’s learning

hello!

my name is mia johnson im a student of Gillingham school located in Dorset uk, I am very lucky to be given an opportunity to take part in the volunteering trip to Zanzibar in Africa in July 2025. the trip is a partnership with African adventures which is dedicated to help improve lives of younger people who are less fortunate, primarily in Africa.

African adventures are able to go to over 29 schools to help support in underprivileged areas.

students (like me) is able to teach sufficient education and entertainment, such as teaching subjects and multi-sports or building and renovating. many classrooms in zanzibar is under-resourced so I will be able to choose to help teach lessons, or even just help students throughout the day, with helping them spell or just helping them hand in there work by the end of the day I can also choose to teach sports (when suitable) or on the other hand I can choose to help renovate buildings, from start to finish, as an example creating more classrooms, toilets, kitchens, etc.
