I'm sure some of you have been thinking of my dad through the Oilers' playoff run.

I remember my first moments as an Oilers fan watching the '06 cup run with him, when Brind'amour brought the cup home to Campbell River as a consolation prize to beating us with our backup goalie. We endured the Decade of Darkness together, with hope for every season. We cheered for the 2015 lottery results, and seethed through the growing pains of the McDavid years.

It's surreal to be back in the finals after coming oh so close last year, without him here. We all know he's cheering like mad for the revenge tour.

Barring an Oilers sweep, I'm going to be watching Game 5 in Edmonton with my friend Zack next Saturday, in the Moss Pit or on Whyte Ave. We are ecstatic to be in the city for this moment. Of course, I should be going with my dad, especially since Sunday will be Father's Day.

So I was thinking, since I'll be there anyways... anyways ..... I'd be kicking myself if I didn't reach out to the community and see if there's any way we could get inside the building.

I'm not expecting anything here, but figured I'd throw it out the universe and see what happens. I'll refund the money if we don't get tickets. Feel free to message me if you want to check in more personally.
