We are SEND Dads Society, a group of men who are all male parent carers of children, young people or adults with special educational needs and/or disabilities based in Greater Manchester who meet up once a month to share experiences and provide support for each other.

A key focus for our group is to also raise funds to provide Sensory Equipment for mainstream primary schools who are underfunded in Greater Manchester.

We are climbing Scafell Pike (dressed as our kid's favourite characters) on Monday 5th May 2025 to raise money to provide much needed Sensory Equipment for Chapelfield Primary School in Radcliffe, Manchester.

Approximately 25% of the children at Chapelfield Primary require SEN support and unfortunately the funding required to provide kids with the Sensory Equipment needed just isn't provided by the government.

Mrs Reed (Headteacher) has already put together a great plan of how the funds would be used. This would be a combination of updating their Sensory Room and financing a Sensory Trolley that would allow the Sensory Equipment to be shared/transported throughout the school as and when required.
