During my recent communication with Mr. Pierre from Bumi Orphanage in Lubumbashi, Congo, he shared that they are currently running out of food supplies.

The children need essential items such as:

• Flour

• Fish and meat

• Palm oil and vegetable oil

• Tomato paste

• Canned food, and other basic ingredients

• Other ingredients to cook them hearty meals

These are everyday necessities that help feed the children and staff at the orphanage. Without them, it becomes difficult to provide even the simplest meals.

I’m creating this fundraiser to help Bumi restock their kitchen and make sure the children continue to receive the meals they need. Every donation — no matter how small — goes directly toward buying these essential food supplies locally in Lubumbashi.

The £300 raised previously was fully used for the suitcase I took with me from London, filled with clothes, shoes and essentials for the children. You can see the suitcase receipt and the children’s reactions on my Instagram account. @terrie_titouutattoo
