Send Alyssa to Serve on the island of Hispaniola!

Hi, I am Alyssa Laurenceau, a senior psychology major, and criminology minor at Howard University. I have been allowed to go to either the Dominican Republic or Haiti to participate in the missions of documenting and dressing the conditions of the ethnic Haitian population.

I will be traveling with my school through the MRA/Sunga Sunga USA Tours. This program specializes in educating students who have an interest in understanding the situation of the poor, the exploited, and the underclass and who have a desire to advocate on behalf of these communities and bring meaningful change to their lives. This experience will allow me to grow first-hand knowledge about populations that I only hear about through the news. As I am getting ready to enter the 'real world' I should have experience understanding and working with other cultures.

The amount asked is the complete cost of the trip. This includes transportation, room, and board. I hope you can donate any amount you can.
