My name is Meg Mayo and I am raising money to send my son, Alex Cathcart, to the USRowing Olympic Development Program's Youth Development Camp from June 25th to July 8th, 2023.

Alex began rowing 4-1/2 years ago and quickly fell in love with the sport. He practices 6 days a week year-round and has a wall full of medals to show for his efforts. Alex competed at Nationals last June, and was recruited to row for Marietta College in Ohio. He is thrilled to be joining the Marietta Pioneers in the fall!

Alex is one of 125 boys who have been invited to the USRowing Olympic Development Program's Youth Development Camp. This two-week program in Chattanooga Tennessee is an unparalleled opportunity for Alex to train with and learn from Olympic-level rowers and coaches. He will develop skills that will prepare him to safely compete at his highest level at Marietta and continue to excel at this lifetime sport.

We are $2100 short of the $4500 needed for the camp fees and airfare. All funds raised through this GoFundMe will be used for this purpose. Alex and I are immensely gratefeful for any and all help.
