Help a Student Go to Science Camp

Hello Friends and Family!

I recently learned about a student whose family is going through an incredibly difficult time. His mother has been stuck in Mexico for over a year now.

She has lived in the U.S. for most of her life and traveled to Mexico last November to finalize her green card. Unfortunately, she hasn’t been allowed to return because of a massive backlog in processing. For the past 12 months, she’s been there alone—separated from her husband, her three-year-old son, and her 10-year-old son, who is one of my students.

This family has been doing their best to stay strong, but times are tough. My student really wants to attend the fifth-grade science camp—a special experience full of learning, adventure, and memories—but his family simply can’t afford it right now. The school, unfortunately, isn’t able to cover the cost either.

So, I’m reaching out quietly to see if we can come together and help send him to camp. Even a small contribution would mean the world and help this sweet kid experience something joyful and normal during a really hard chapter in his life.
