We are raising money to assist iThings 2 Collard Greens (https://ithings2collardgreens.org) to send 15 young girls (ages 8-13) from Washington, DC to Summer Camp in South Carolina. The girls retreat from city life AND electronics to learn back-to-basic life skills and enjoy cultural enrichment as emphasized by the late great educator and organizer, Nannie Helen Burroughs. Fifteen years ago, Kathy English Holt had a vision to create this experience for girls. As a result of the current economic climate in DC, funds from a significant sponsor are no longer available.
